World population
The World Population is growing by over 200,000 people a day. The population of the world today is about 215,000 people larger than yesterday.
People who died from hunger
Around 9 million people die every year of hunger and hunger-related diseases. This is more than from AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.
Number of child deaths from poverty
An estimated 6.2 million children under the age of 15 years die every year. Mostly from preventable causes. Every hour of every day more than 700 children die.
CO2 emitted into the atmosphere
In 2019, about 43.1 billion tons of CO2 from human activities were emitted into the atmosphere. This was an all time high, breaking the previous record from 2018.
